40th Birthday Party – Morland Hall, Cumbria

Broad Minded Events was set up in 2006 to provide an events service with a difference.

The client wanted a venue to accommodate up to 40 friends and family, but not a hotel. She wanted the venue to have the feel of a country house party, making all feel welcome. She also wanted there to be group activities throughout the weekend and a sit down dinner for 40 on the Saturday evening, accompanied by a Celidiah.

We sourced the venue, Morland Hall, situated in the Lake District. We created a “pub quiz” for everyone on the Friday night and then a Treasure Hunt around the grounds on the Saturday. We created a dining room to fit all 40 guests for the dinner, along with waitress service. The band ensured that all guests joined in together and created a great party atmosphere.

This was a whole new experience for me... having a party and not having to worry about a thing, I didn't have to think if everyone had enough to eat or drink or even if they needed a cot in their bedroom! The whole experience from the venue to the band to cleaning up was all done, all that i had to worry about was having fun.
The enthusiasm, work ethic, attention to detail and downright brilliance are beyond comparison and to this end i would recommend Broad Minded Events to anyone who might listen!
